Our iWellness Eye Exams are technologically advanced and are able to not only give you an accurate new glasses or contacts prescription, but also checks the internal health of your eyes. The iWellness Exam can catch early signs of eye disease and also diseases like Diabetes, which can effect the health of your eyes. This type of exam is not offered by many offices in the area, but we know how important your vision is to you and want to help you protect it.
What does your iWellness Eye Exam consist of?
Our iWellness Eye Exam includes refraction, eye coordination, depth perception, peripheral vision, color vision, glaucoma test, cataract evaluation, health evaluation, and rental scans. Digital images of internal eye structures are taken and stored to compare changes over time.
It is recommended that all patients have yearly comprehensive eye exams to maintain the health of their eyes. Dilated eye exams are essential for people with diabetes, glaucoma, and many other eye conditions. It is recommended that Children should have their eyes checked before entering kindergarten; or sooner, during infancy if you suspect something is wrong or there is a family history of eye problems.
What is an iWellness Eye Exam?
We're proud to announce the inclusion of the iWellnessExam as an important part of our comprehensive eye exam. Similar to a MRI for the eye, the iWellness Exam uses scans to produce cross sectional images of the retina, the back of your eye, comfortably in a matter of seconds. This can lead to an early diagnosis of Glaucoma, High Blood Pressure, Macular Degeneration, Diabetes, and other diseases or conditions. Unlike an MRI, these scans use light to scan similar to an ultrasound.
