Lenses

We pride ourselves in providing the highest quality lens on the market today. Our lens lab, HOYA, is a leader in optics and lenses. We use Phoenix Trivex eyeglass material, which is the lightest and most durable lenses on the market today. These lenses are the thinnest on the market as well. This lens material is not a standard in may offices, but it is at Carbon Valley Eye Care because we know the importance of your eye sight and we want you to get the most out of your glasses!

Lens Materials

Phoenix Trivex lens material is not only the lightest lens material in the world, but also meets high impact standards for industrial safety eyewear, and features built-in 100% UV protection. Phoenix lenses are so light they almost float on water. Phoenix material is 19% lighter than standard plastic and up to 8% lighter than polycarbonate. We offer superior quality lenses that many opticals can not offer you.

Anti-reflective Coating

We also recommend that everyone uses Anti-reflective coating on your lenses. Our anti-reflective coating called SuperHiVision, reduce glare off of your computer screen, reduces halos around lights during night driving, and gives others a clear view of your eyes in any light. This coating also gives your lenses a 1 year scratch warranty.

Transitions

Every time you go outside it puts a strain on your eyes, because they're forced to instantly adjust to brighter light. Transitions automatically and quickly darkens your lenses to reduce the amount of sunlight coming through your lenses. This technology has significantly improved and the amount of time that your lenses changes their tint has been reduced.

Progressive Lenses

Our no-lined progressive lenses are based on the understanding that no two eyes are the same. Our progressive lenses give you a wider field of view, unlike traditional progressive lenses which give you a narrow field of view. A progressive lens is different than a lined bifocal because you get 3 ranges of vision. A traditional bifocal only gives you clear vision for your distance and near vision while progressives give you clear vision in your distance, computer range and near range.

Computer Lenses

Everyone has different needs for their glasses and you may have a need for just computer specific glasses. Tact lenses, or computer lenses, are specifically designed to minimize the effects of eye fatigue, dry eyes, and neck pain caused by working at the computer. They provide you a broader, clearer viewing zone that is larger than a conventional eyeglass lens.
